It depends on what type of computer programming you want to learn, which should be your first choice, as there are various different languages. If you want to learn how to do Windows desktop programming, then search for: "learn how to program in .NET"

If it's web programming on Linux, then search for Learn PHP, Learn Ruby on Rails (a growing popular language right now), learn perl, etc.

If the target system is Apple Mac then check the Apple developer area.

If you want to build a cool interactive website, I'd recommend PHP as a good language to get up to speed with quickly, but if you want to do Windows Desktop programming try Visual Basic.NET or C#, both of which pretty standardized.
