My router is a DLINK WBR-1310. when i cum home and use it...i find that i cant transfer file through it. i wuz fully pissed. But i cudnt find another one for cheap so i kept it

had a worse problem?

Well may be we can help you from this problem .. If you can elaborate your problem here some more .. We can help you out some here. First question where you have your router placed at home or office. Second thing you must tell here that where you want to transfer data and it wont allow you. Also which method u using for this. Etc etc So please elaborate some more things here.

I dont know if you can help because i called dlink on the problem and they siad that they dont support data transfer. But ill say the details anyway...

When i locate the computer that i want to transfer to, it doesnt allow me to drag it onto the other computeres folder.

Well when you don't have permissions at others folder, so you can not transfer data. Other wise there is no router which blocks data if configured correctly. But as I can see that you are using internet, so there is nothing wrong with the router. This is all permissions problem. You check those issues... You must have permissions on the folder where you are copy/pasting things.

how do you find out if i have permissions to access folders? my router works fine but i cannot transfer...
