MUSIC: Eminem presents the re up
By Q.I.K
With the launching of his new scintillating mix-tape styled album Eminmem makes his real presence after two years and introduced new members of shady family like Cashis, Booby Creek water and Stat Quo. The album also features top rap stars like 50cent, Lloyd Banks from G-unit, Obie Trice, Bizarre and Kuniva of D-12.
The 74-minute CD has strong lyrical work and all that you can expect from a genius artist. The disc starts with "Shady Narcotics" and then comes the blazing track "We're back", which opens with piano-laden beat, syncopated rhymes. Here Em shows his turbulent emotions that he is still not an icon in rap industry.
The best track in the album might be “you don't know” by Em ft 50, Lloyd and Cashis. They mainly rhyme about the unity between these two organisations. Quo’s shining solo “By my side” sounds great, Cash’s solo “Every thing is shady” contains real rough and tough lyrics with turbid bass and Bobby’s “There he is” produced by Alchemist is also good. These rappers made a valiant attempt to make an impression on their debut tracks. The album also contains couple of remixes like Akon’s “smack that”, Em’s “shake that” from his previous album, “curtain call” and “Murder” from D-12 members Bizarre and Kuniva.
Em shows his presence in eight tracks and ultimately gives a whole new song “no apologies”.
In this he delivers blistering rhymes with weeping background piano music and rhymes about his inner emotions that he is apart from the world and just leave him alone. It is not really clear from whom he is not apologising and for what.
The thing you’ll miss in this album will be the original “real slim shady” side of Em. Not a single track in this album is funny but still this is simply a must buy album.
